Year 4 Tennis Trip
The year 4 tennis trip to the Aegon classic was cancelled due to flooding last Wednesday. This didn't stop us from having a great day. We named the day 'Rain won't stop play' and carried on regardless. In classes, we wrote and performed a poem called 'Rain stops play' and researched about the history of tennis using learnpads. In the hall, Mr Hunter did a fantastic job of helping all of the children to develop their tennis skills.
Year 4 Mash Ups
Year 4 have been working to plan and create musical mash ups in our Thursday music lessons. We have been looking at musical parody and creating mixes of multiple tunes.
William Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing and Year 4
Well done to the year 4 children who performed the Shakespeare play ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ They were able to explain the key events in what we liked to call the first RomCom to the rest of the school with real confidence.
Aegon Classic Tennis
On the 15th June, we will be heading across to Edgbaston Priory club to perfect our skills in order to become the next Andy Murray or Serena Williams. We will also get the exciting opportunity to see some amazing skills in action by watching the professionals on centre court.
Exciting news of trips coming up for Year 4...
For our end of year trip we will be heading with year 3 to Kidzania. It is an amazing opportunity for the children to explore a whole world of excitement. You will be getting more information soon, but believe us, it is worth getting excited about.
Our Cornerstones topics this term are:
Summer 1: Playlists
Summer 2: Bottoms and burps
