Year 6 Easter Revision Booket and answers

Year 6 have worked really hard this term and we are very proud of them.
Today, the children will be bringing home revision materials. There are activities for each day which should take around 15-30 minutes. These are focused on reading, arithmetic, reasoning and SPaG (please see the documents above for a copy of the document and an answer booklet).  We will also send home some past SATs papers.

We really appreciate any support you can give your children with these.

We hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

Year 6 discuss Politics with MP Caroline Spelman

Still image for this video
We were honoured to hear about what inspired Caroline to become involved with Politics, rather than letting other people make decisions for her. How could you get involved in making a positive difference to YOUR lives and your local community?

We wowed MP Caroline Spelman with our fantastic, persuasive letters about anti-smoking education!

Year 6 Autumn A British Value Home Learning Project

During British Value lessons this half term, we have learnt about the types of government around the world and the significance of the gunpowder plot.  Your task over half term is to research the Gunpowder plot.

Conduct some further research on the story of King James and why he angered Catholics so much. Was the Gunpowder plot justified? What do you think would have happened if the Houses of Parliament were blown up?

You can produce your findings in a presentation possibly using Powerpoint or in the form of a poster. Alternatively you can produce this in the form of a book (you can make it look as creative as you like!) Be creative as possible.
